By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. (Proverbs 11:11)
Why do we allow ourselves, day in, day out, to be bombarded with the badmouthing media? We need to ask this question.
Because if we don’t, and if we don’t begin to correct our wayward path, our ship of state will go down. The waters are high and the waves are breaking over the bow.
But this storm is unlike a gale at sea because it is not an external force. It is an inside job.
No, not the proverbial “inside job” espoused by alarmists, conspiracy theorists and Jesus haters, but the internal condition of our society, which is getting overthrown by its “protected” components, its media, its tolerance, its laws.
This inside job is not the myth that Bush somehow contracted Al Qaeda to knock down the Twin Towers. It is not the inside job that alleged that Cheney contracted the war against Iraq to fatten Halliburton shareholder pockets. God-haters purvey those “inside jobs,” delusional farces they are. Unbeknownst to themselves, those God-haters are pawns of the prince of darkness. Some call him Satan, others Belial, but he has been succeeding wildly in overthrowing any kind of godly society on earth, largely because of the backbiting hordes that control the airwaves of the world.
The inside job that is destroying America is the media’s proclivity to broadcast evil. It is the reality that pedophiles and philanderers and the murders thereof will make the top stories of any news broadcast any day of the week. It is the billion-dollar network’s choice to mass market a movie about a teenage incest-survivor’s decision to explore homosexuality as an identity. It is the prime time reporter’s compulsion to tell the enemy exactly why our troops are vulnerable and where those vulnerabilities lie. This is called news, while other pieces of information – like the reality of thousands of Christians killed each other in the name of God – goes unheralded in the mass market. And never mind the commercials – cesspools of greed, innuendo and materialism. Let’s face it — mainstream TV is nothing more than a ratings-driven hors d’oeuvres tray of sleaze, sin and disinformation. Sickness sells, virtue impoverishes. Our society is drowning in the ammonia-rich refuse of its own sin and the devil is loving every minute of it.
